(undated) -- The Quality Toyota/Alexandria Cardinal "Athlete of the Week" Saturday segments for the 2019-20 school year include recent recognition of Brian Danke from the Cardinal Boys' Nordic Ski Racing Team.
Senior Brian Danke from the Alexandria Cardinal Boys' Nordic Ski Racing team was honored as the Quality Toyota/Cardinal "Athlete of the Week" for the period ending January 10th, 2020. He was nominated for Cardinal "Athlete of the Week" honors by Coach Jeremy Rapp.
Brian has not been a long time participant in the sport of Nordic Ski Racing. He was encouraged by a fellow classmate a while back to join the team. Brian is now in his third year with the Cardinals' program. As part of the conversation with D-Mac, Brian shares information on the discipline of Nordic skiing that he prefers, while acknowledging that he enjoys both the "Classic" and "Skate" options.
Brian Danke's future plans are shared in the interview, as he seeks to continue a family tradition by joining the United States Marine Corps. He talks with great pride about a number of relatives who have also served as Marines.
