Explore Alexandria 12U-B Girls' Hockey: Fargo Scheels Girls' International Tournament Champions!

This is a photo of the Explore Alexandria 12U-B Girls' Hockey team, following a first place finish on January 6th in the 2019 Scheels Girls' International Tournament that was held in Fargo, North Dakota. 

(Fargo, ND) -- The Explore Alexandria 12U-B team took home the Championship title at the Fargo SCHEELS Girls International Tournament on Sunday, January 6th, 2019. 

The tournament concluded with Alexandria's shutout win....3-0 over Blaine/Spring Lake Park.

Alexandria played five games during the tournament, winning four and tying the other. The weekend performances resulted in a first place finish out of 16 teams. This is the first Alexandria Team to take home a championship win from the Fargo International tournament.

The scoreboard included these Alexandria results: 

  • 9-1 versus Champlin Park
  • 2-2 tie against the Bismarck Capitals
  • 7-5 versus Minnetonka Blue
  • 4-3 versus Woodbury
  • 3-0 versus Blaine/Spring Lake Park

Players that competed for the Explore Alexandria 12U-B team include Sydney Menk, Bailey Heid, Kaija Niblett, Amelia Knapper, Jisella Haskamp, Alayna Loveland, Kenna Klocke, Zella Noetzelman, Eva Liden, Lane Kompelien, Tayler Treat, Morgan Aure, Katherine Korynta, goalie Rachael Mohr.

The coaches of the team include Joel Loveland and Aaron Korynta, and Jayme Aure.
