NorthStar Knights support Someplace Safe

The NCA NorthStar Knights support Someplace Safe with $7500 in jersey sales.

(Alexandria, MN)  The NCA NorthStar Knights hosted a rare home stand with Pacific Coast Hockey Academy this past Sunday and Monday.  As part of the two games on home ice, the Knights also committed to helping a local charity.  The Knights wore special jerseys donated by the Lake Geneva Christian Center and auctioned them off for Someplace Safe of West Central MN.  The jerseys were black with pink trim for the fundraiser. The jerseys were auctioned off from Friday to Monday and raised $7500.00 for victims of domestic violence.

The Knights played two games with PCHA.  In game one on Sunday afternoon the NorthStar Knights beat Pacific Coast Hockey Academy 8-2.  Coaches say it was a great "team effort" highlighted by Joey Dosans' hat trick.  The second game, held Monday morning (because of the Presidents Day Holiday) the Knights lost a hard fought game to PCHA, 4-5 in overtime.

The Knights record is now 34-9-6-49. The staff breaks down their overall record as this, 34 wins, 9 loses, 6 ties, and 49 post game prayers.
