(Minneapolis, MN) -- Minneapolis city leaders are telling the Metropolitan Council that two years is too long for a bridge project.

The work will isolate some diverse north side neighborhoods. Council Member Lisa Goodman points out the Interstate 35-W bridge over the Mississippi River only took one year to construct. The work is being done to make way for the southwest light rail line.
