(Mankato, MN)  --  The Mankato City Council will consider an emergency ordinance next week to require face masks inside public places.  The public hearing is set for Monday night.  City Manager Pat Hentges says passage of the ordinance requires a vote of five council members and it would be in place for 60 days.  Only four votes were needed last night to set the public hearing.  Rochester now requires the public to wear face coverings in city buildings.  The University of Minnesota is also mandating face masks in public places on campus.
