(Minneapolis, MN) -- A Brooklyn Park man has switched his plea to guilty after being accused of hitting a student as she got off her school bus last May.

61-one-year-old Gregory Garth was in Hennepin County Court Wednesday. He had been charged with four counts of criminal vehicular operation while under the influence of a controlled substance. Garth’s guilty plea was to one of those charges and he will be sentenced in March. Witnesses say 11-year-old Shianne Dean got off the bus and was crossing the street when Garth drove around the bus and hit her.
