(Alexandria, MN) Karrow Jewelers was one of the first tenants in the Viking Plaza Mall back in the late 1970's.  Forty-two years later they are moving all operations to their downtown location at 628 Broadway Street in Alexandria.  Jeff Karrow says customers will only have one location to shop, streamlining operations.

The decision to move was based solely on convenience.  Having one location will not only streamline operations for customers but also for employees.   Karrow Jewelers employees will have the same number of hours available to them that they’ve been accustomed to, and no one is facing losing their job.  Business will go on as usual with more inventory in one location and repairs, sizing and cleaning under one roof.

Karrow Jewelers opened its downtown business in 1973.  Five years later they opened a second store, this one in the Viking Plaza Mall.  In 1997, current owner Jeff Karrow bought the business from his parents.  While the day to day operations are going to look a little different come fall, they are excited to continue this second generation business.
