(Alexandria, MN) -- Alternative Senior Care is celebrating 15 years of providing peace of mind to aging seniors and their families. In keeping with our core value of innovation, we wanted to be creative and resourceful in serving the needs of our community. Hence 15 days of giving back to the communities that have given so much to us!
Alternative Senior Care was founded in 2005 by Cindy Karasch. The company got its humble beginning in the basement of Cindy’s home with just seven caregivers. It has since grown to a team of 85 caregivers and seven office staff serving 240 clients in a five-county area in central MN. The company maintains offices in Sauk Centre and Alexandria.
Alternative Senior Care provides home care services that assist aging seniors to remain independent in their home. 15 years of experience and expertise enable the company to assist families on the journey with their aging loved ones. “Our goal is to help families navigate the aging process, not just by providing services but a being resource to them.” says Cindy. “We help you answer the questions you didn’t even know how to ask.”
Our caregiving staff chose 15 charitable organizations that we could donate to. The recipients include Habitat for Humanity Alexandria, Titus 2 Alexandria, Some Place Safe Alexandria, Catholic Charities Senior Dining Sauk Centre, Eagle’s Healing Nest, Ruby’s Pantry Sauk Centre, LSS Meals on Wheels Eagle Bend, and local food shelves in these communities: Albany, Sauk Centre, Alexandria, Long Prairie, Melrose, Brooten, Glenwood and Avon. These organizations are all shining examples of volunteers helping others in our communities along their life journey.
