(Alexandria, MN) What started out as an idea……looks and smells like a delicious restaurant, only without any walls.

John Heydt and Keven Jansen took an idea to create a community woodfire oven into something concrete….well, actually something made of bricks. The oven was constructed in the summer of 2015 with a simple idea, “make a place where people could break bread together”.

Here's a (VIDEO) story by VOA's Joe Korkowski about the idea come to life.

If you'd like to set up a fundraiser using the woodfire oven, you can contact the Alexandria United Methodist Church on 2210 6th Ave E, Alexandria, MN, or call 320-763-4624 to get the ball rolling.
