Jacob Larson was found guilty of four charges in connection with the death of Forada Firefighter Steven (Beaver) Hlinsky on May 5th, 2018.

(Alexandria, MN) -- A western Minnesota man convicted of beating another man to death in Douglas County will spend nearly five years in prison. Jacob Larson received a seven-and-a-half year sentence for manslaughter in the 2018 death of Steven "Beaver" Hlinsky outside the Muddy Boot bar. Larson and Troy Traut were seen on surveillance video pulling Hlinsky outside before the beating. He died eight days after the attack. Larson is expected to serve two-thirds of the state sentence.
