Snowmobile Crash

(Miltona, MN) Saturday a Farmington man was air-lifted to St Cloud for injuries sustained in a snowmobile crash near Miltona.  The Douglas County Sheriff's Office Dispatch received a 911 call of a crash that had occurred on the south side of Lake Miltona. Initial information came in that the crash occurred in the south ditch area along County Road 5 near Hermosa Beach Road. Douglas County 911 dispatchers immediately sent help.  Upon arrival it was determined that 21 year old Joshua Bloom of Farmington, MN was riding with his father on the trail system. Each was operating their own machine. Joshua Bloom lost control of his machine and struck a tree. Joshua had crashed in an area where the ditch was very steep in elevation. First responders, North Ambulance and Miltona Fire were able to stabilize the patient and winch him up the ravine to the awaiting ambulance. Life Link Helicopter had landed on scene and the patient was transferred to the helicopter and was airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital where his condition in unknown at this time.
