(Karlstad, MN) Dave Hughes has been fighting for a chance to represent Minnesota's Congressional District 7 during the past two elections. Although facing long-term Democrat Collin Peterson in the last two elections (2016, 2018) and losing by about 5 percentage points both times, his aim is still to win the 2020 election. This time, standing in his way to that goal is not just the Chair of the House Agriculture Committee, but a strong candidate in his own party. Since Michelle Fischbach announced her candidacy last September, Hughes has had to struggle to get any headway in accomplishing his political goal, or has he?
Hughes gives VOA an update on where he's at with his campaign and how he is approaching the weeks and months ahead. (AUDIO BELOW)
