Alexandria Police Department

(Alexandria, MN) On Tuesday, June 4th the Douglas County SWAT Team executed a search warrant on the 2100 block of Fillmore in Alexandria. This was the result of an ongoing investigation by the West Central MN Drug and Violent Crime Task Force relating to the sale of drugs. The search warrant resulted in the arrest of four adults who are being held pending formal charging for drug related offenses. The search warrant resulted in the seizure of heroin, methamphetamine and other drugs with an estimated street value of over $15,000.

The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are anticipated.

Assisting the Task Force was the Alexandria Police Department, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota BCA and North Memorial Ambulance.

(Alexandria, MN) A male suspect has been arrested in the Alexandria bank robbery of Affinity Credit Union. This is in conjunction with a larger investigation involving the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Six additional jurisdictions have had similar robberies throughout the past two months.
