(Litchfield, MN) The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) announced that Republican candidate for District 7, Michelle Fischbach is "on the radar" as part of the committee's 2020 Young Guns program. She says she is grateful for the support she's gained in her bid for the 7th District and "honored to be named as a member of the NRCC's Young Guns program. Fischbach has had an impressive week of endorsements as well including U.S. House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, Minnesota Senate majority Leader Paul Gazelka, Minnesota House Republican Leader Kurt Daudt and fourteen republican legislators from the 7th District.
Kendall Qualls, running for District 3 was also listed as one of the NRCC's Young Guns.
Meanwhile District 7 incumbent and House Ag Committee Chairman, Collin Peterson, has scheduled an agriculture town hall meeting in Moorhead on Friday, Nov. 8 with USDA Under Secretary Bill Northey. Northey is in charge of the Farm Production and Conservation mission area at USDA, which includes the Farm Service Agency, Risk Management Agency and Natural Resources Conservation Service.
The meeting will give Minnesota farmers an opportunity to talk to Under Secretary Northey about the Market Facilitation Program, the severe harvest situation and other agriculture issues.
