(Alexandria, MN) All but three of the 21 former and current military personnel who work at Donnelly Custom Manufacturing were on hand to help present a check for the Alexandria Veterans Memorial Park. On the receiving end of the $25,000 donation were a couple of the veterans behind the effort, Russ Oorlog and Roger Blank. The group met outside of Donnelly's manufacturing plant beneath the Flag pole proudly displaying the U.S. flag. Donnelly President Ron Kirscht says he was so impressed with a presentation by Oorlog, Blank and Gabe Pipo that he felt compelled to be a part of this chance to honor military personnel from the area, especially since Donnelly employs so many.
Each of the military personnel/veterans on hand were announced and then shook hands with the memorial organizers.

The Veterans Memorial Park will hold a special groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, August 2nd at 11:00 at future site of the memorial park at 8th Ave and Broadway Street.
