House Fire

(Alexandria, MN) On Saturday, June 8th at approximately 1:40am, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office received a report of a home on fire located on Golden Gate Drive SE. Upon arrival Deputies observed the front entry and porch to the trailer home engulfed in flames. Alexandria Fire Department was also dispatched to the scene and they were able to extinguish the fire.

The home sustained moderate damage. No one was home at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire is not believed to be intentional and remains under investigation.

(Alexandria, MN) A male suspect has been arrested in the Alexandria bank robbery of Affinity Credit Union. This is in conjunction with a larger investigation involving the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Six additional jurisdictions have had similar robberies throughout the past two months.
