Head On Crash With Ambulance

(Glenwood, MN) Around 1:30 Saturday afternoon a car collided head on with an ambulance in Pope County.  The State Patrol says the ambulance was heading east on Highway 28 near County Road 29 in Glenwood Township when a Dodge Stratus, driven by 58 year old Melanie Joy Sievert of Starbuck, traveling westbound, went in the ditch.  The Patrol says Sievert overcorrected and went into the eastbound lane, striking the oncoming ambulance head-on.  Sievert, as well as the driver of the ambulance, 54 year old Timothy Gramm of Morris and passengers 45 year old Craig Feuchtenberger of Hancock, 21 year old David Smith of Amery, Wisconsin, and 35 year old Jessica Velde of Morris were taken in for non-life threatening injuries.  Feuchtenberger was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center, while the others were taken to Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood.  The Patrol did not indicate if any of the passengers in the ambulance were patients, but did say all involved in the crash were wearing their seatbelts.
