(Alexandria, MN) With social distancing guidelines in effect for 2020, the 36th Annual Vikingland Band Festival in Alexandria, Minnesota, is presented as a virtual showcase. Watch the premiere via the Vikingland Band Festival's Facebook page and YouTube channel at the usual parade time: 1:30 PM (Central) on Sunday, June 28.
Ken Martinson has been a part of the Vikingland Band Festival from its very beginning back in the mid 80's. He says "bands were invited to submit videos, photos and tributes to their seniors; we invited committee members to extend video greetings; and we’ve assembled photos from the archives to make sure all bands in the 2020 lineup are represented." He says the result is an uplifting, entertaining and fast-paced 16-minute video presentation. The committee, and the Alexandria community look forward to all of the music and entertainment back on the street in 2021. Ken says, "in the meantime let’s all march on!"
