Spectators were the big winners at the 35th Annual Vikingland Band Festival, which featured a fantastic lineup of well-prepared marching bands performing under sunny skies. This year's parade featured 21 bands, including the Alexandria Marching Band which served as the host and the Alexandria Alumni Band which served as the honor band. 

Henry Sibley H.S. scored 90.4 to claim the Grand Champion honor for the second consecutive year. Waconia scored 86.5, 728 Cadets scored 85.4, Mankato 77 Lancers scored 81.7, and Dassel-Cokato scored 80.5 to round out the overall top five. Dassel-Cokato won the People's Choice award for the first time, and also retired a Class Champion flag by winning the Class AA title three years in a row. Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg claimed the Class A champion title for the 11th consecutive year.
