WARM LEMON CAKE
 
1 pkg (2 layer size) yellow or lemon cake mix and the ingredients on the box to make the cake
2 cups cold milk
1 1/4 cups water
2 pkg (4 serving size each) Jello Lemon flavor instant pudding and pie filling mix
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 Tbsp powdered sugar
 
Preheat oven to 350. Grease or spray a 9 X 13 inch cake pan. Prepare cake batter as directed on the package and pour into the prepared pan and set aside.
Pour milk and water into a large bowl. Add dry pudding mixes and sugar. Beat with a wire whisk 2 minutes or until well blended. Pour over batter. Place cake pan on a baking sheet to catch any sauce that may bubble over the sides while baking.
Bake 55-60 minutes until wooden toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool about 20 minutes. The sauce will thicken slightly as it cools. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Spoon into serving dishes to serve warm. Refrigerate leftovers.
