PPHS Trio Places at State History Day!

Twelve Parkers Prairie High School students qualified and participated in State History Day at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities campus this past Saturday.

Hundreds of students and projects from all over the state were on display. These student projects were selected as the best projects of the 27,000 student who participated in the state.

History Day Minnesota is one of the largest History Day programs in the nation.Johnathan Suchy and Trenton McCleary’s projects qualified for third place finals and earned Honorable Mention.Callista Garnder, Jacob Suchy, and Sierra Drum qualified for the final round and finished 5th overall.The students accepted their awards at Williams Arena.

A calm, sunny environment encompassed the exterior of Alexandria Area High School Friday morning, June 7th. It was the perfect weather to break a sweat for a good cause, and the Lakes Area community showed up in full force to accomplish that goal!

Starting Monday, May 20, the district will move forward with changing the flow of traffic by creating a one-way in and one-way out of the main school parking lot at Alexandria Area High School. We believe this will create safer conditions for students and visitors.
