AAHS

(Morrhead, MN) Congratulations to the cast and crew of the one act play, who took first place in 8AA North subsection last night in Moorhead. AAHS students performed the world premiere of Antigone and Ismene, an adaptation of Sophocles' Antigone, which focuses on the relationship between two sisters. Antigone and Ismene features senior Sydney Christenson as Antigone and junior Isabella Greathouse as Ismene, with senior Adam Klepetka as their uncle, Creon. Also in the cast are senior Colin Barten, junior Sidney Trousil, junior Joslyn Swenson, and sophomores Nick Nelson, Aubrey Kosters, Noah Capouch, and Regan Peterson. Junior Georgia Snider is the assistant director/dramaturg and sophomore Jacob Tiegen is the stage manager. Junior Matt Adolphsen is on lights with sophomore Conner Arndt on sound. Senior Olivia Rice is the prop master, and senior Caitlin Erickson and sophomores Grace Schmidt and Aubrey Minnerath are on costumes. Sophomore Ryla Johnson is an at-large crew member, junior Kendra Scott is on hair/make-up, and senior Abby Sater is a crew alternate. Non-traveling crew include Brett Strandskov, Ben Borden, Luis Otto, Emma Nelson, Angelina Caron, Shaelea Karels, Bianca Wegner, Courtney Hodgson, Natalie Larson, and Sydney Larson.

The cast and crew of the one act play will present their public performance tonight, January 25, at 7:30 in the AAHS performing arts center. Admission is free to the public. The team will travel to Becker Thursday, January 31 for the section final.
