2019 Jr. Achievement Trivia Winners: Alomere Health.

(Alexandria, MN) On April 9th more than a dozen teams competed in the 4th annual Junior Achievement Trivia Night.  There were actually 14 teams of 4-6 people that competed in 10 rounds of trivia questions to support Junior Achievement in Alexandria Public Schools. The winning team from Alomere Health is made up of team members Jay Sieling, Paul Westerburg, Eddie Reif and Steve Longbotham. 

The mission of Junior Achievement is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.  Jr. Achievement currently serves 1,500 students in 62 classrooms in grades 1-5 in Alexandria Public Schools with over 100 community volunteers. The curriculum combines what students learn during their school year into real world experiences.

A calm, sunny environment encompassed the exterior of Alexandria Area High School Friday morning, June 7th. It was the perfect weather to break a sweat for a good cause, and the Lakes Area community showed up in full force to accomplish that goal!

Starting Monday, May 20, the district will move forward with changing the flow of traffic by creating a one-way in and one-way out of the main school parking lot at Alexandria Area High School. We believe this will create safer conditions for students and visitors.

Twelve Parkers Prairie High School students qualified and participated in State History Day at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities campus this past Saturday.
