Organizer Lukas Gotto waits to plunge

Organizer and Unified Club Advisor Lukas Gotto waits to plunge during the "Cool School Plunge" at Discovery Middle School in Alexandria Friday, January 18th.

(Minneapolis, MN)  Lukas Gotto loves what he does for a living.  He is the Technology Integration Specialist for the Alexandria Public School District.  That passion was recently recognized by the Sourcewell Technology team of award judges.  Gotto was just named the 2019 Sourcewell Technology Technology Leader of the Year.  The panel of judges is made up of school district technology leaders.  Gotto will be formally recognized for the honor on December 16th during the Sourcewell Technology Conference at the Minneapolis Hyatt Regency.  

Housed out of Discovery Middle School Gotto is very active in the lives of the middle school students.  He is also a middle school coach for football, basketball and baseball.  Gotto is also credited with leading the first ever, and to date, most successful Cool School Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics.  Gotto says they are planning to do it again this upcoming January.
