(Alexandria, MN) Because the safety of our patrons, volunteers, and staff is a major concern and after careful consideration, the Andria Theatre Board of Directors has now issued a moratorium on theater activities anticipated to be extended until August 31 based on the recommendations of the CDC. That is a tentative date and could change based on the evolving situation with the COVID-19 virus.
The activities that are affected are: cancellation of the rehearsals and performances of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels in its entirety, cancellation of the postponed performances of Frozen JR, and cancellation of Art in the Park, cancellation and/or postponement of Grease and Aladdin JR to other dates. The raffle originally scheduled for April 26 has been moved to August 31, 2020. Raffle tickets are still available to purchase. Send your payment - cash or check of $10 per ticket along with your name, address, phone number to Andria Theatre, 618 Broadway St, Alexandria, MN 56308. We will send your ticket(s) via USPS.
If you were a ticket holder for either the Frozen Jr shows or Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, you may:
• Donate your tickets: As a nonprofit arts organization, Andria Theatre relies heavily on the support of donors, subscribers, single ticket buyers, and campers. If you can donate your tickets rather than request a credit, it would help sustain Andria during this uncertain time.
• Receive a credit on your account to use for other tickets.
The board and staff will continue to reevaluate decisions as information on COVID-19 evolves. They will be monitoring the health situation in Minnesota and Alexandria. "Safety is our guiding principle. We hope you stay safe and healthy in the days ahead."
