The Alexandria Sertoma Club will host the Alexandria Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce’s November Off the Clock event on Thursday, November 21 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Broadway Ballroom, 115 30th Avenue E in Alexandria.

Off the Clock is a Chamber networking event that is open to everyone. It offers an opportunity for attendees to learn about the many businesses and organizations within the community. The $1 admission includes appetizers and a chance to win a door prize valued at $100. All money raised will be donated to the day’s nonprofit recipient, the Alexandria Literacy Project.

Sertoma’s main focus is “Service to Mankind” by communication of thoughts, ideas and concepts to accelerate human progress in health, education, freedom and democracy. Headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, Sertoma is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit civic organization. Every year Sertoma clubs raise more than $20 million for local community service projects. The Alexandria Sertoma Club meets every Wednesday at Noon at Broadway Ballroom in Alexandria.
